Understanding the Levant
What is Levantine cuisine?
Levantine cuisine belongs to the Eastern Mediterranean basin. Hummus, falafel, mezze, organic chickpeas, tahini and zaatar travel from one table to another across this region, with local variations but a shared foundation: legumes, vegetables, olive oil and fresh herbs. At TITA, we cook its Israeli expression, in the street food spirit of Tel Aviv.
At TITA, this cuisine comes to life through family recipes from Alexandria, Egypt, reinterpreted with the street food spirit of Tel Aviv. A heritage shared across the whole Eastern Mediterranean basin, which we serve without pork.

The art of the Levantine table
Mezze: the art of sharing
A mezze is a small plate designed to be set at the centre of the table and shared. You order two, three, four, building your own assortment: cold dishes like hummus or babaganoush, hot dishes like freshly fried falafel.
It's a convivial, generous way of eating, just as suited to a lunch for two as to a meal with friends. Dishes start from €8, and much of our mezze menu is vegetarian.
