Our story

Who are we?

TITA is above all a family story — one of warmth and sharing, born from recipes passed down through generations, from Tel Aviv to Aix-en-Provence.

The origins

A love of sharing food and an invitation to travel…

TITA is first and foremost a family story — that of Célia, Dana and Gaël, who drew inspiration from the recipes of their great-grandparents, who once ran a celebrated restaurant in Alexandria, Egypt. Their goal: to share cuisine full of sunshine, generosity and cherished memories.

Starting as a popular food truck in 2017 in the market of Aix-en-Provence. TITA then opened a small restaurant in 2018 in the heart of the city and immediately found it was successful. A small place, a grand adventure…

Within months, the walls became too narrow. TITA took another step forward in 2019, moving into a larger space to meet the growing demand. Queues kept getting longer… so in 2022, TITA yet again moved into an even more spacious location to absorb exponential demand.

A success driven by culinary innovation, a family atmosphere, and the quality and freshness of its produce — including Falafel (crispy, fragrant organic chickpea fritters), creamy Hummus (made from organic chickpeas), Chicken Shawarma, and Beef Kefta — grilled meat patties served with soft pita bread.

It is a blend of primarily local, fresh and organic produce — received and cooked on-site every day — that is what gives TITA its depth of flavour and character.

A beautiful adventure

The beginning: the Food Truck

TITA began as a food truck in the market of Aix-en-Provence. The welcome was immediate and warm — queues formed from the very first weekend.

First restaurant

Following the food truck's success, TITA opened its first restaurant in the heart of Aix-en-Provence. A small place, but a large adventure.

We're growing!

The walls became narrow — so TITA decided to take another step forward and moved into a larger space to meet the growing demand.

A new chapter

Demand kept soaring so TITA again moved into an even more spacious location in order to enable a better welcome for its ever-growing loyal clientele.
